We needed a picture of Mr Clark on a bike, as he backed a campaign to improve cycling facilities in the town.
Here's the rub. He was in Westminster and our photographers were roving west Kent.

Cycling into view came the Minister for Universities and Science, one David Willetts, on his boneshaker.
Resourceful Mr Clark borrowed his colleague's bike, offered his iPhone to Mr Willetts who took the snap for our page 14 story.
