A supergroup formed by a lengthy list of Canadian musicians, *The New Pornographers* have a slim but immaculate discography.
Culminating in 2010's 'Together' the band then took a short break. Recently reconvening, The New Pornographers have confirmed plans for their first album in some four years.
'Brill Bruisers' will be released on August 25th via Matador Records, with the music being billed as a joyous, affirming return. AC Newman comments: "This is a celebration record. After periods of difficulty, I am at a place where nothing in my life is dragging me down and the music reflects that. I’m grateful."
Produced by band-member John Collin alongside Newman himself, sessions took place at Little Blue in Woodstock, NY and at JC/DC Studios in Vancouver B.C. with additional recording in Austin, Brooklyn and Vermont.
