Just 20 years old, Leo Marcus has already developed a powerful, distinct voice.
First utilising the name Pále, the 2013 collaborative EP 'Playing Truant' saw the producer spar with Benin City vocalist Joshua Idehen.
Since then, the Brighton based artist has switched monikers. Now known as *High Lucia*, the change has witnessed renewed focus in the producer's output - more often working alone, each track feels carefully honed, delicate refined.
Flushed with colour, High Lucia seems to take his cue from left field hip hop yet slows the beats down to create a languid, humid dreamscape.
Forthcoming EP 'Wash' emerged on August 20th via Lex Records, with Clash able to premiere new cut 'Dark Ages'. Lowering the temperature, High Lucia seems to apply a crystalline gauze to his work with the frozen beats matched against synthetic tones which seem to fracture at the slightest touch.
