‘Attak’ is a stunner...It’s been a huge week for Warp Records.
The label promised plenty of surprises for its 25th year, but few expect *Flying Lotus*, *Hudson Mohawke* and *Rustie* to confirm new material within days of one another.
Rustie’s ‘Green Language’ album drops on August 25th, with the press release stating: “The album was written and recorded at 4am to the sound of birdsong in a remote location in his native Scotland, influenced by nature, birds and sunrise.”
D Double E and Redinho drop past, while Danny Brown grabs the mic for ‘Attak’. Premiering on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show last night (July 25th) it gleams with Rustie’s trademark hip hop fluorescence.
A lurid, dynamic return, Danny Brown’s performance sends energy levels straight into the red.
