An intimate show at Manchester's Chadderton Baths...Housed on the outskirts of Manchester, Chadderton Baths has been a local taste for some time.
A beautifully ornate building, it's a wonderfully atmospheric example of Victorian architecture which is often left criminally alone.
The perfect place for *Lumia Live Sessions*, then. The performance series has criss-crossed the summer, with Jagwar Ma, Years & Years and Ella Eyre all completing very special performances in hand-picked - and extremely unusual - spaces.
Kwabs agreed to performance in Manchester, with the hotly tipped newcomer bringing his band to Chadderton Baths. First, though, the crowd of friends, admirers and competition winners were treated to a short, succulent set from Sinead Harnett.
The starlet impressed, with her easy-going charm matched to pointed, finely honed songwriting which left a deep impression on the ear.
Already gaining enormous hype, Kwabs arrived with no small degree of expectations intact. Thankfully, the London based artist rose to the occasion, with his spectral, soulful brand of R&B infused with electronics lending a spiritual air to Chadderton Baths.
