Matching dance beats against an effervescent pop touch, ETML feels no shame in aiming for as wide an audience as he can. The sky, it seems, is the limit.
"I grew up alongside acts like S Club 7," he explains, "when pop music felt like an actual genre. Now, you have girl bands making house tracks. So whether you call it Pop or Dance is kind of irrelevent to me: it's all become the same thing, and you can get anything if you know where to look."
New single 'Too Late' emphasises this. As contagious as a bout of late summer flu, it pits pop melodies against the onward rush of a production style steeped in electronic culture.
