Ahead of their debut album...Two musicians who seem to write a song each day, James Hoare (Veronica Falls) and Jack Cooper (Mazes) recently decided to join forces.
*Ultimate Painting* is the result. A collaborative project, it unites the duo's love of gorgeous 60s pop alongside rather more lo-fi, acid fried influences.
Debut album 'Ultimate Painting' arrives on October 28th via Trouble In Mind Records, with the duo sharing a series of previews. 'Ten Street' is a neat introduction to their world.
Jack Cooper explains: "I had a period recently when I was away on tour, driving a lot and I'd find myself breaking everything I was doing into fractions and percentages. Whether it was figuring out distances I'd travelled or what percentage of a journey I'd completed...speed, time... everything... and that turned into a weird thing where I was counting 'tens' of things."
