16-year-old boy robbed of mobile phone in Brighton

Police are appealing for witnesses to the robbery of a mobile phone from a 16-year-old boy at The Level, Brighton, on Saturday (3 January).

The victim was sat with a friend on bench at 8.30pm when they were approached by two other boys who demanded his valuables and threatened to stab him.

They stole his black iPhone 4 mobile phone.

Detective Constable Ed Downes said: "Although the suspect threatened to stab the victim a knife was not seen. The victim was uninjured but shaken by the robbery. Please get in contact with if you saw anything or have any information which could help with our investigation."

A 16-year-old boy from Brighton, has been arrested on suspicion of robbery. He was questioned and released on bail until Tuesday 17 February.
