Beguiling, sweetly innocent songwriting...*Malpas* is the alter ego for songwriter Ali Forbes and producer Andy Savours.
Between the two of them, the project manages to cover both folk and electronics, sweet melodies and dark lyricism.
There's a joining of contradictory forces, here, which results in something quite beguiling. New single 'Under Her Sails' will be released on April 27th via Killing Moon Records, with the sweet, honey-dripping vocals layered against a gently textured backdrop.
Fusing acoustic guitars, xylophones and handclaps, there's a sense of innocence to 'Under Her Sails' which is matched against rather darker forces.
