This is Essex -- A former Royal Mail worker has admitted to opening hundreds of packages and letters while working at his father's post office in Chelmsford. Dhiran Pandya, of Rectory Road, North Fambridge, appeared at Basildon Magistrates' Court on Friday charged with four counts of waylaying and stealing post between September 1, 2011, and September 18, 2013. The court heard he is also accused of stealing an iPhone 4 on September 19 last year, and a Dell Inspiration laptop on October 11, 2012. He pleaded guilty to all four charges.
