*Aphex Twin* is fond of the odd fanciful tale or two.
Such as the time he told people he didn’t need to sleep, or that he lived in the middle of a roundabout in Elephant and Castle.
So his recent round of press interviews must be taken with a pinch of salt. That said, news that Richard D. James believes in internet born conspiracy theories such as the Illuminati and the 9/11 Truth movement holds some credence.
Speaking to Q Magazine this month the producer says: “When you follow stuff on the internet about Illuminati, New World Order, aliens, even if none of it’s true, it’s just a thousand times better than any science fiction film that’s ever been written.”
“I do believe pretty much all of it. You can’t only believe things which can be proven. It’s boring. Loads of things are unproven, but it doesn’t stop you believing them.”
Well, there you go.
