An ever intriguing group, 2014 has proved to be something of a breakthrough for *Glass Animals*.
The Oxford band's hypnotic, spiralling songwriting has found a receptive audience, with debut album 'ZABA' winning lavish acclaim.
All crunched hip hop beats, morse code synths and gorgeous pop textures, the material retains its allure after multiple listens.
New single 'Hazey' drops on October 13th, accompanied by Glass Animals' largest headline tour to date. As if that wasn't enough, the Oxford group have commissioned some remixes - and Clash is lucky enough to be able to premiere one of them.
Steeped in UK bass culture, London trio *Dark Sky* also delivered their debut album this year. Dissecting Glass Animals' production, the three piece add a jazz infused spin to 'Hazey', something dark yet eminently flexible.
An addictive, percussive re-work, you can check out Dark Sky's take on 'Hazey' below.
