*DJ Yoda* has always made his debt to hip hop explicit.
Coming of age during the genre's so-called Golden Era, the aspiring turntablist cut his teeth rifling through records from Gangstarr, A Tribe Called Quest, Public Enemy and many, many more.
Now a star in his own right, the producer decided to assemble an eleven-strong force to record new album 'Breakfast Of Champions'.
Recruiting some of the finest names in UK hip hop, the results are much more powerful than a mere ensemble record.
Out now, it's a powerful return which shows DJ Yoda's capabilities as a producer as well as allowing each individual space to shine.
As a special bonus, the turntablist has stripped the record back to reveal its roots. Utilising each instrumental, DJ Yoda has overlaid Golden Age raps from the likes of Common, Wu-Tang Clan, Jay Z, Nas and more.
