![iPhone with rare game Flappy Bird on sale on Gumtree in Bristol for £1,500]()
This is Bristol -- A mobile phone with the app Flappy Bird is for sale in Bristol - but you'll have to fork out £1,500 to get it. The iPhone is listed on Gumtree as having the "rare game" on it. Flappy Bird, which has topped the Apple iTunes and Google Play stores in recent weeks, gets players to navigate a bird through a landscape of pipes. The game has been downloaded more than 50 million times, but its Vietnamese creator Dong Nguyen announced on Saturday he would be withdrawing it from the app stores. He tweeted: "I am sorry 'Flappy Bird' users, 22 hours from now, I will take 'Flappy Bird' down. "I cannot take this anymore." Users who loaded it onto their devices prior to its withdrawal from app stores can continue to play the game without issue. So now people with the app on their phone or tablet are seeking to make a buck out of its rarity by selling their devices for huge sums of money. If you think £1,500 is a lot of cash to shell out, how about £150,000? That is the highest price currently listed for a phone with the app on eBay. UK-based eBay user ldixon88 has listed an iPad Mini 2 and iPad Mini 3 16GB, both with Flappy Bird installed. With 76 bids, the going-rate for the two tablets has now reached £152,958.
